I. Towards the Polycentrics ? -The World Social Forum process sets roots

2. WSF IC Bamako meeting
In 2006 the WSF will be held in a polycentric manner in Caracas,
Venezuela, Karachi, Pakistan and in Bamaki, Mali. Preparations are in
full swing and a preparatory meeting will be held at the end of
September in Bamako

4. Africa Commission of the WSF in Finland
In Finland a group of organisations together with NIGD have launched an
Africa Commission of the WSF in Finland. A first meeting was held in
September, introducing the WSF Africa process and debating some of the
emerging points for discussion. The second meeting got feed back from
WSF IC preparatory meeting in Italy, Peruggia. Read more on the ACWSF

II. International taxation as part of the blue print for future proposals for EU
constitution?

Following the French referendum on the EU constitution, Thomas Wallgren
analyses that the European Union has travelled too far down the
neo-liberal dead-end. Europeans may need a new blue-print for their
political cooperation and a new blue-print also for their economic and
social policies.
In a separate intervention, Mikael Böök suggests that international taxation, should be one of the central innovations of a future constitution. It should legitimize and encourage the implementation of global taxes such as the CTT.
