2. Towards a new CTT campaign
A campaign for a currency transactions tax seems to have got new wind under its wings. Mainly the Attac movement, but also others, have organised large scale public events on the CTT, parliamentary hearings and debates in connection to the European Parliament elections in June. Heikki Patomäki reports from these events in Finland and Sweden - Denmark will follow with a Parliamentary hearing on the CTT on 3 June in Copenhagen.

Inspired by these new developments and the present political situation in particular in progressive countries such as Brazil, India and South Africa, some organisations have developed a Draft for a new Global CTT Campaign. The campaign will be launched in late 2004 and the draft will be commented upon during the next six months.

3. REPORTS : Bridge Initiative International
A discussion event was held on the Bridge Initiative in Stockholm, "which wants to create a 'neutral space' for stakeholders with conflicting views on globalisation issues with the aim to achieve an agreement on what should be done". Read more in the Report of Leena Rikkila who attended the event at the Swedish Institute for International Affairs.
