This text was a response to the request by Gustavo Codas (CUT, Brazil) to prepare discussion points for the meetings of the WSF IC strategy commission, taking place in April 2004 in Italy. The two questions they were asked to answer were:
- what is the strategy of neoliberal politics today?
- what are the alternative strategies?
