In Finland, NIGD members Mikko Sauli, Laura Tuominen, Jaakko Valli and Ruby van der Wekken are part of the core organisation of local activities during three days, which include a WSF speakerscorner tent downtown Helsinki, debate and a party for Another World is Possible! and a gathering of demands in front of the Ministry of Finance on 26.1 - see

Teivo Teivainen participates on Jan 11 in Delhi in the seminar on the WSF process organized jointly by CACIM and SADED.
Teivo Teivainen gave a talk on the impact of globalization on the third world on Jan 7 in Saint Xavier College, Goa, and another one on Jan 8 on globalization and democracy in Latin America in Goa University.
